Ian Kavanagh
Ian is a Chartered Engineer and a Member of the Association of Consulting Forensic Engineers. He has a BSc(Hons) degree in Structural Engineering, a Diploma in Project Management and a Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Building Repair & Conservation. With 24 years of professional experience, Ian first worked as a Structural Engineer with a large multi-disciplinary firm, before working for specialist firms dealing with the investigation of property damage and casualty cases. He has additional specialist training and experience as a Marine Accident Investigator. Ian has acted as an expert witness in numerous High Court and Circuit Court cases.
Simon Griffin
Simon is a Chartered Engineer with 20 years of professional engineering experience. His qualifications include a Professional Diploma in Forensic Structural Engineering and a BEng(Hons) degree in Structural Engineering. His initial 10 years in consultancy involved roles as Project Manager, Lead Civil & Structural Engineer, Resident Engineer and Project Supervisor Design Process, including a senior role in the design of large buildings in Saudi Arabia. Simon has prepared over 1,000 technical reports dealing with the causes of damaged structures, including multiple appointments to High Court construction litigation cases.
Craig Morgan
Craig is a Chartered Engineer with 14 years of professional engineering experience. He has a Professional Diploma in Forensic Structural Engineering, and a Master’s Degree in Architectural Engineering that merges structural engineering with the architectural design of buildings. His experience as a Structural Engineer in the UK included the design and project management of multiple large-scale refurbishment, underpinning and basement projects. Craig’s forensic engineering experience includes the assessment of hundreds of structures damaged by subsidence, landslip, collapse, fire, water and pyrite/mica.
Orla Kavanagh
Orla is the firm’s Office Manager, responsible for the day-to-day running of the firm and its accounts. She has a BA(Hons) degree in Business Management and 15 years of commercial experience.
